Our collaboration with the French Paradressage Team at the Paris 2024 Paralympic Games.
At Sounds of Motion, we've always been passionate about combining music and movement. In 2024, we had the honor of collaborating with three incredible riders from the French paradressage team for the Paris Paralympics. Each composition was tailor-made, reflecting the soul of each athlete and reinforcing the emotion of their equestrian performances.
Vladimir Vinchon's saxophone - A memorable 5ᵉ place
For Vladimir Vinchon, who competed in Grade 4 and took a remarkable 5ᵉ place in reprise libre, we composed an original score. Thought to accompany the precision and fluidity of his performance, this composition was in keeping with the unique atmosphere of the Games. Our aim: to highlight her technical mastery while sublimating the emotion of her course and her horse's movements.
"I highly recommend Sounds of Motion for Henry and Jacques' very complementary work is so professional, I have the particularity of not having a musical ear and therefore not knowing where to turn ... They were able to be very responsive, thanks to their creativity which makes them so successful, they were able to adapt to my requirements while bringing their touch of originality which they have the secret, and those even for a free style that I had the chance to highlight in Versailles during the Paris 2024 Paralympic Games by finishing in 5th place. Thank you gentlemen for your Performance and see you soon."
Alexia Pittier - Classic meets modern
Alexia Pittier, also in Grade 4, captivated the audience with a performance marked by grace and elegance, placing 7ᵉ in the Games. For her, we created a unique composition blending two iconic covers: Édith Piaf's La Vie en Rose and Charles Aznavour's Formidable. These musical choices, imbued with cultural heritage and intensity, infused her performance with a timeless, French touch.
Lisa Cez - The art of advanced music editing
Lisa Cez, competing in Grade 5, chose to collaborate with us on an advanced editing of her music. We fine-tuned transitions, harmonized segments and adjusted nuances to deliver an optimal rendition. The result: a captivating performance that placed her 17ᵉ in an extremely tough competition.
"I wanted to thank you, for managing to highlight our couple with this beautiful music. I had a very clear idea of what I wanted. And, it's perfect. In competition, my freestyle art is much appreciated for its originality and harmony. Many thanks for your investment in this project."
An unforgettable experience for the Games.
Working with these three exceptional athletes has been a real privilege. Their passion and commitment inspired us to push our own boundaries to create music that matched their ambitions. These collaborations have underlined the importance of music in paradressing, as a central element in reinforcing the emotion and connection between rider, horse and audience.
We would like to thank Vladimir vinchon, Alexia Pittier and Lisa Cez for their trust and talent. Congratulations to them on their performances at the Paris 2024 Paralympic Games!
